HISTORYSHOTS – INFORMATION GRAPHICS

JANUARY 16, 2006

This is a great site that sells posters of information graphics. I remember my first exposure to information graphics in Edward Tufte’s The Visual Display of Quantitative Information. It’s super interesting to read about presenting data in ways that expressed it’s purpose in a voice familiar to the user.

HistoryShots seems like it’s pursuing similar things. They have a few posters up at their site that all depict some sort of information graphics. From depicting the changing political landscape to a graphic that displays “cycles of greatness” on the PGA Tour. All of their prints are really interesting. I encourage you to take a look.
