GOOGLE HAS OWN OPERATING SYSTEM FOR INTERNAL USE

Sun’s software chief says that Google is running its own operating system to run its grids. Apparently there’s debate within the company about whether to continue using it, but that surely won’t stop speculation about whether Google has loftier goals in mind.

Just as I suspected. Soon enough our PCs will just be a means to access a global (or should i say google) operating system. And we will then be able to access various software applications, that currently live on our actual machines, over the web. Should be an interesting ride to see how it all shakes out.
